Bio

Chen Qiu is an external PhD student at the Machine Learning Group (since 2019) under the supervision of Marius Kloft at TU Kaiserslautern, Germany. Meanwhile, he is working in Bosch Center for Artificial Intelligence (BCAI). He obtained a bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering in China at Yanshan University (2014). Afterwards, He obtained a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology in Germany at Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nürnberg (2018).

Research interests

Chen Qiu is interested in machine learning and its applications with focus on time-series data. Currently, he is working and representation learning, and deep anomaly detection. He is also interested in time-series modelling, e.g. sequential latent variable models.
