Bio

Since 2019 Naghmeh Ghanooni has been a PhD candidate in the Machine Learning Group at TU Kaiserslautern under supervision of Prof. Dr. Marius Kloft. She received a master degree in computer science from TU Kaiserslautern. As a master student she worked in the Computer Vision department of German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) in Kaiserslautern and did an internship at the University of Los Andes, in Bogota, Colombia. She holds two bachelor degrees in computer science, one from Baha'i Insitute for Higher Education (BIHE), in Iran, and another one from SUNY Empire State College, center of distance learning in New York, USA.

Research interests

Naghmeh Ghanooni is interested in theory and algorithms of machine learning and its applications, specially in the field of biology and medicine. She has been working on 2D object tracking, localization of region of interests (ROIs) in the brain structures in the past and currently she is working on deep extreme multi-label classification.
